Willow Beach & Cold Water Diving
As mentioned if you follow us on any of our social media sites, we had a wonderful day out at Willow Beach on Saturday (Dec. 17th)! The water was a chilly, but very manageable 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Some of our divers opted to use our brand new heating pads, which worked rather spectacularly! Up until now we haven’t really given them a chance, but those who used them wished they had tried them sooner. They’re easy to recharge as well! Just put in a pot of boiling water for a couple of minutes. We also used hoods, gloves, and 7mm wetsuits. Out of the many divers we had out there, nobody was too cold or felt the diving wasn’t manageable, so we encourage you to give winter diving a try. The visibility is generally much improved over winter, and if you’re especially prone to getting cold, give the heating packs a try!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our lake side BBQ! We had a blast and can’t wait to do it again. Good Times, Good Friends, Good Diving!!!
